Biography
Barnaby Carter is a 26 year old piano technician and multi-instrumentalist from Bristol, England. He plays guitar, bass and drums and piano, although very little piano is on this record.
Growing up in Portishead, a neighbouring town to Bristol, he mainly listened to ‘post rock’ and guitar led music such as Mogwai and Radiohead. Discovering electronic music as a teenager and like many many others got into Warp and Ninja, Aphex and Boards of Canada and so on but also Future Sound of London, whose album ‘Accelerator’ was a key inspiration.
During his time training as a piano technician for 5 years at the age of 18, he started experimenting with percussive and harmonic sounds from the piano.
