Biography


Pavel Dovgal is an electronic music producer from Russia and founder of the independent music label Monoclockmusic. Pavel made his first steps as a musician in 2008 when he started creating his first tracks and mixes. His first studio release followed with “Cassiopeia” in 2010, debuted on Berlin based music label Project Mooncircle. In 2013 he released “Bedouin” on his own label Monoclockmusic and became resident at the Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp in St. Petersburg, participated in the SKIF festival, and was nominated for an Ethno Mechanica Award by the Sergey Kuryokhin Modern Art Center. After such an eventful period in his life he took some time off to travel around Asia and nurish his creative mind and soul, collecting inspirations for his new album.

So far in his career he has been working with such renowned Russian and international musicians like Robot Koch, John LaMonica, Mujuice, Long Arm, Assai Band, Ta-Ku, Graciela Maria, Ruslan Gadzhimuradov, and the Synergy Orchestra.
Inspired by extensive trips around Asia, Hip-Hop, Jazz music of the 70’s, Indie Pop, Ethnic African sounds and all kinds of different electronic music, Pavel Dovgal’s new album “Aura” will be released on Project Mooncircle on November 25th. It is a masterpiece including collaborations with old friends like Mujuice, Graciela Maria as well as some newly added artists – L.A. rapper BLU, Starving Yet Full – ex-vocalist from Azari III and Mitia Dedoni, who created the haunting album cover for “The Aura“.
